SO far, we have been discussing a scenario wherein teams in the Top Four dropping, or teams outside of it move up, in the race for the four twice-to-beat incentives in the PBA Philippine Cup.
SCENARIOS: Six-way logjam for second seed now possible
But how about the scenario where the top four teams stay there and take care of their business?
Here is the standings of the eight teams already qualified for the quarterfinals as of June 12, 2025:

San Miguel 7-3
Ginebra 7-3
Magnolia 7-3
Converge 7-4
TNT 6-5
Rain or Shine 6-5
Meralco 6-5
At the moment, there is a possibility that NLEX, San Miguel, Barangay Ginebra, and Magnolia will all end up in the top four on similar 8-3 win-loss records, leading to all of them gaining the twice-to-beat incentive. That will happen with a Magnolia win over TNT on Friday, a San Miguel win over NorthPort on Sunday, and Ginebra win over Rain or Shine on Sunday.
The seedings of the four teams below if they end up at 8-3 as follows:
SAN MIGUEL
San Miguel gets the No. 1 seed due to a 1.0607 quotient and a +17 point differential fueled by a nine-point victory over NLEX, and an 11-point win over Ginebra, notwithstanding a three-point defeat to Magnolia.
NLEX
NLEX secures No. 2 in thevevent of this four-way tie for first place with 1.0071 quotient and a +2 point differential. The Road Warriors defeated Ginebra by three and Magnolia by eight, but lost to San Miguel by nine.
MAGNOLIA
Magnolia will grab the No. 3 spot in this deadlock by a hair with its 0.9687 quotient and a -9 point differential. The Hotshots may have lost to Ginebra and NLEX by a combined 12 points, but its three-point winning margin against San Miguel is enough to give the Hotshots the higher seeding than Ginebra.
BARANGAY GINEBRA
Ginebra will be at No. 4 in this scenario with a 0.9635 quotient or -10 point differential. Their quotient was affected by the fact that the only team that it defeated among the three teams was Magnolia by four points. They lost to San Miguel and NLEX by a total of 14 points.
