NLEX has signed Tony Semerad and Dominick Fajardo to two-year contract extensions on Wednesday.
The Road Warriors are keeping Semerad and Fajardo for their future, signing the two forwards in a signing ceremony at the NLEX compound in Balintawak, Quezon City. No less than NLEX Corporation president Luis S. Reñon and team governor Ronald Dulatre attended the ceremony.
“I’m so grateful to Boss Ronald and Boss LSR. What NLEX can expect from me in these next two years is a guy who will always give it his all whenever I’m on the court,” said Semerad.
“Nakakatuwa yung tiwala na binigay sa akin ng NLEX management katulad nina Boss Ronald and Boss LSR,” said Fajardo. “Nagpapasalamat din ako kay Coach Jong na nilagay nila ako sa sitwasyon na ito. Ipapakita ko lang lagi sa court kung bakit deserve ko itong contract extension.”
The two have key roles in NLEX’s campaign in the 50th Season Philippine Cup where the Road Warriors are on top of the team standings with a 6-2 win-loss record along with Rain or Shine.
Semerad is averaging 6.8 points and 6.2 rebounds in six games with NLEX, while Fajardo, drafted No. 30 in the 2023 PBA draft, is posting 5.7 points, 4.1 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 1.3 steals through seven games.
The Road Warriors resume their Philippine Cup campaign on Sunday against Magnolia at the Ynares Center-Montalban.
