ROB Herndon has found a new home.

The Fil-Am forward joined his fourth team in a six-year PBA career as he was picked up by NLEX after he was left unsigned by San Miguel.

The 29-year old former first-round pick of Northport in the 2017 PBA Rookie Draft was signed to a two-year deal by the Road Warriors, sources told SPIN.ph.

He is set to make his NLEX debut in a PBA on Tour game against Meralco on Wednesday.

"His UPC (Uniform Players Contract) expired last June 6. Then he wasn't signed by San Miguel after 30 days, so free agent na siya last July 7," said the NLEX insider.

"Sayang, e. Kulang kami sa 3 (spot)."

Curiously, Herndon played two games for San Miguel in the ongoing PBA On Tour. He had 21 points on 4-of-8 shooting from beyond the arc and 11 rebounds in the Beermen's preseason debut, a 106-101 loss to Phoenix.

Against Northport at the Caloocan Sports Complex, the Fil-Am gunner finished with seven points and eight rebounds in an 87-75 win which turned out to be his final game in a San Miguel uniform.

Herndon landed at San Miguel in a sign-and-trade deal with Converge for the Beermen's 2023 and 2024 second round picks.

He won a championship with the Beermen in his lone season with the franchise during last year's Philippine Cup against TNT.

Although selected by the Batang Pier, the Vallejo, California native didn't get to play for the team after being shipped to Magnolia along with Gian Abrigo in exchange for Julian Sargent, Joseph Gabayni, and Lervin Flores - all of those involved being rookie players.

He was part of the last Magnolia team to win a championship during the 2018 Governors Cup, before being shipped to Alaska together with Rodney Brondial as part of the Chris Banchero trade in 2019.

Converge eventually acquired his services when the franchise bought the Alaska team last year, but he never suited up for the ballclub following his trade to San Miguel.
