AFTER a one conference absence, Kris Rosales is back in the PBA after being tapped by NLEX for the coming Governors Cup.
The 30-year-old guard came to terms with the Road Warriors on Tuesday for a one-season contract as confirmed by management.
Rosales was let go by Rain or Shine prior to the 46th season and became a free agent.
His signing came a day after NLEX traded guard Mike Ayonayon and Will McAloney for Marrion Magat and a future second round pick.
NLEX makes another roster move after sending Mike Ayonayon and Will McAloney to BLackwater for Marion Magat.
A team insider said the Road Warriors just waited for the Ayonayon trade to be consummated before formalizing the signing of the 6-foot Rosales.
SPIN.ph learned from a source NLEX management had been in negotiations with Rosales for a while now or shortly after the team's exited the Bacolor bubble in the recent Philippine Cup.
Rosales and representative Charlie Dy even met in the US to discuss the possibility about the player making a return stint in the PBA.
The Fil-Am guard actually had a decent stint during his two-year stay with Rain or Shine, including the Philippine Cup bubble in Clark last season, when he averaged 5.2 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game.
It really came as a shock when the Elasto Painters opted not to re-sign him prior to the 46th season.
