WAYNE Chism definitely had a grand time facing his former team in Rain or Shine even though things didn't work out for them as NLEX dropped its opener on Friday, 113-105.

Playing on the opposite side of the bench this time, Chism was delighted to see his old teammates back and playing against them definitely brought back good memories of practices when he was still donning the Rain or Shine colors.

"It was a good time. I had fun out there playing against them. They play hard and they play as a team as usual and I'm happy I was back there, just on the opposite side," Chism said as he finished with 27 points and 21 rebounds in his first game back in the PBA.

"It was fun. Banging with Beau brings back a lot of memories of practices and stuff but out in the game it's a bit different cause now I got to score on him. But it was good. I was happy to be back out there," he added.

Despite the loss, Chism was still satisfied with how they fared against a strong team in the Elasto Painters.
Chism understands that despite having Guiao in there, it's still a process that they have to go through, especially with a bunch of young guys on the team.

"We got a lot more improvements to do. That shows us right there what we have as a team. We fought to the very end, we just made a couple of mistakes in the end," he said.

"The only thing now is jelling together as a team and getting more chemistry and we're gonna be good to go."
