NLEX defeated Converge, 95-88, on Thursday to start the 2025 Kadayawan Invitational Basketball Tournament with a victory at the USEP Gym.
Robert Bolick had 22 points as the Road Warriors avoided a collapse after nearly losing the lead that reached as high as 18 points.

Richie Rodger broke an 88-88 tie with a three for NLEX with 1:31 left in the game to repel Converge’s comeback bid.
Brandon Ramirez added 14 points, while Robbie Herndon had 12 for the Road Warriors, who joined Blackwater for joint lead in the team standings after the Bossing defeated Phoenix, 94-81, earlier in the day.
NLEX and Blackwater will face each other on Friday, 7 p.m., at the USEP gym.
Alec Stockton, Justine Baltazar, Bryan Santos, and King Caralipio each had 11 points for Converge, which will go up against Phoenix on Friday, 5 p.m.
