AFTER more than a decade of playing in the PBA, Barangay Ginebra star Mark Caguioa looked like he finally aged.

Judging solely from the goatee, that is.

The 16-year PBA veteran arrived at the Astrodome on Friday for Ginebra's PBA Philippine Cup game with his goatee dyed distinctly gray, surprising not only the fans but also reporters present.

The former league MVP sported a dyed beard that looked more like the 'Santa beard' that Tiger Woods had during the holidays. The golf star still had the look when he played golf with new US president Donald Trump late last month.

But if it's indeed a 'Santa beard,' isn't it too late in the day to wear it?

Before SPIN.ph could ask him about it, Caguioa slipped out of the backdoor of the Ginebra dugout at the Astrodome, leaving pal Jayjay Helterbrand to make the explanation.

“I think he got struck by lightning,” said Helterbrand before bursting into laughter.

Ginebra’s trusted and reliable ball boys shared that it was only during Thursday’s practice that Caguioa showed up with the gray goatee.

“Kahapon lang ‘yun sa practice, wala, hilig niya lang magpa-ganun (style), sa susunod tingnan mo iba na naman ‘yan,” said the Ginebra staff.

Well, let's see how long the dyed goatee lasts.
