DESPITE missing the latter half of the PBA season due to a nagging knee injury, Vic Manuel is coming back for another tour of duty with Alaska.

'The Muscleman' was re-signed by the Aces to a one-year contract that allowed the Aces to keep intact their solid frontcourt of Manuel, Calvin Abueva, and veteran Sonny Thoss.

Manuel sat out most of the season-ending Governors Cup due to a knee injury in a campaign that saw the Aces endure a long 14-game losing streak that went back to the Commissioner's Cup.

Also signed to a similar one-year by Alaska was back-up guard Abel Galiguez.

Terms of both deals, however, were not disclosed.

Manuel and Galiguez are two mainstays from this season's tea given new contracts by management despite failing to make the playoffs twice in the three conferences.

Others signed earlier include Thoss, JVee Casio, Jaypee Mendoza, and Yutien Andrada while third year forward Kevin Racal was given a contract extension.

Veterans Tony dela Cruz and Dondon Hontiveros were no longer renewed.
