Alaska banger Vic Manuel admitted he is still groping for form months after suffering a right calf tear in the 2016 PBA Commissioner's Cup, but his sterling performance in a tune-up against Meralco on Wednesday said otherwise.

The undersized power forward raked in 19 points, but his efforts went for naught as the Bolts blasted the Aces, 106-92, at the Gatorade Hoops Center.

Manuel later asserted he is not fully recovered yet.

"Sa ngayon, hindi ko pa masabi kung 100 percent ako e," said the soft-spoken bruiser. "Ilang pa talaga ako gumalaw ngayon."

After almost a two-month layoff, Manuel admitted the itch to get back on the court. And Alaska's 'Muscle Man' is hoping that before the Governors' Cuop unfurls in mid July, he will be back at full strength.

"Gusto ko talaga makabalik sa game at makatulong sa team. Sana maging mas healthy ako pagdating ng conference. medyo gigil na rin kasi ako maglaro," he said.

Manuel sustained his latest injury in Game Two of their PBA Commissioner's Cup quarterfinals against Talk 'N Text which sidelined him for the rest of the playoffs.

Alaska still advanced to the finals last conference even without Manuel, but fell short against eventual champions Rain or Shine Elasto Painters.
