THE signing of franchise player Jayson Castro capped a busy Saturday for TNT Katropa, which also came to terms with promising Gilas cadet rookie Roger Pogoy and veteran Danny Seigle.

Pogoy, drafted by the Texters from the national team training pool, inked a P9 million contract with the team, including a maximum monthly salary of P150,000 allowed for his rookie year.

The 40-year-old Seigle likewise isn’t about to walk into the sunset yet after reaching another deal with the team, along with Alex Nuyles, and rookie Levi Hernandez.

Guard Dylan Ababou also reached an agreement with the franchise for a one-year deal, although team insiders said a deal is being worked out for a possible trade with Blackwater involving big man Frank Golla.

But it was Castro’s new three-year maximum contract which highlighted the Texters’ last-minute signings of players for the coming PBA 42nd season.

TNT management agreed to give the 30-year-old Castro a deal worth P15.2 million.

Just this week, the Texters also came to terms with veterans Kelly Williams and Ryan Reyes.

Others included in the team’s 15-man lineup for the season-opening Philippine Cup were Ranidel de Ocampo, Larry Fonacier, Harvey Carey, Troy Rosario, Mo Tautuaa, Kris Rosales, and Matt Ganuelas-Rosser.
