TNT KaTropa gained a psychological boost from no less than its big boss on the eve of a must-win Game Four of the PBA Commissioner's Cup Finals against San Miguel Beer on Wednesday night at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.

Team owner Manny V. Pangilinan dropped by practice at Moro Lorenzo Sports Center inside the Ateneo campus on Tuesday afternoon, joining the team for lunch where he gave his Texters a pep talk as they try to avoid falling into a 3-1 hole against the Beermen.

"He just wanted to talk to the team," team manager Virgil Villavicencio said during practice.

"(He told them to) just do your best," he added. "He talked about the culture of Talk 'N Text."

Villavicencio said the last time MVP talked to the team was after their loss to Ginebra in Game Three of the semifinals.

"(He usually shows up) always coming from a loss," the affable TNT official said after the Texters lost for the second straight game to the Beermen, 109-97, in Game Three.

After MVP's talk in the Final Four, the Texters bounced back with a 122-109 victory that finished off the Gin Kings.

Let's see if they can do the same and at least tie the current series against the Beermen.
