Jammer Jamito's hilarious side-step dunk makes it to NBA cable show 'The Starters'
US cable show 'The Starters' includes Jammer Jamito's dunk from the PBA All-Star Week as part of its opening spiel in one episode.

JAMMER Jamito’s now famous side-step dunk had just been recognized internationally.

The stunt of the rookie from Barangay Ginebra during the slam dunk contest of the PBA All-Star week in Lucena City has been cited in the podcast and cable television program ‘The Starters.’

A clip of the portion showing Jamito side-stepping over a standing Japeth Aguilar before soaring for a jam was shown as part of the opening spiel of the popular satirical show.

“Sometimes a bad dunk contest is just as much fun as a good one,” said co-host Trey Kerby as he introduced the segment while showing a part of the Jamito video.

“He’s setting up for an over-the-guy dunk and just jumping over the side of him,” he said in describing the move which drew laughs from all the show’s four hosts.

J.E. Skeets then asked on air, ‘What’s his name?’ before getting a reply, ‘Jammer Jamito’ followed by more laughter.

A separate video of host Leigh Ellis was then shown on the screen performing an almost similar act over the show’s executive producer during ‘The Starters’ dunk contest last year.

Trey then asked viewers to vote on ‘which fake jump over a guy is better?’ Check out the clip below, at the one-minute mark and you be the judge.
