TERRENCE Romeo missed the entire second half of TNT’s PBA Commissioner’s Cup match against Blackwater on Wednesday due to an ankle sprain.

The TNT KaTropa star stepped on the foot of Blackwater’s Renz Palma late in the second quarter where he immediately felt pain in his left ankle.

Romeo said he took a painkiller for his knee prior to the game before suffering the ankle sprain.

“Medyo sumasakit ‘yung tuhod ko. Tapos natapilok ako, natapakan ko paa ni Renz. Pagdating sa dugout, hindi na talaga kaya,” said Romeo.

Romeo played 15 minutes and finished with 12 points, four rebounds, and two assists.

But Romeo played down the possibility he will miss a significant amount of time especially with TNT’s next game still on June 1. Romeo, however, will take part in the All-Star festivities.

“Pahinga. Pagpasok ko sa dugout, namamaga na agad. Normally kapag ganito, one week ‘yung pinakamababa. Bahala na. Obserbahan ko at dadalasan ko ice,” said Romeo.

“Normal naman ‘to sa player. Kailangan tingnan ng reason bakit nangyari. Baka na-overwork o kailangan lang ng pahinga,” Romeo said.
