TERRENCE Romeo insists there’s no need to worry despite GlobalPort cramming to find the right import for the PBA Commissioner’s Cup.

The Batang Pier have yet to sign a reinforcement less than a week before they open their midseason tournament campaign on Friday against Mahindra.

“Hindi naman (worried). Okay lang,” Romeo said in a short chat with Spin.ph after their tune-up game against Meralco on Saturday. “Kailangan lang mag-move forward kami sa process ngayon.”

“Pero kailangan mas mapabilis 'yung pag move forward namin,” the Batang Pier star was quick to add.

GlobalPort has tried out Brian Williams, once San Miguel Beer’s import in the Asean Basketball League (ABL), who registered 15 points in the Batang Pier’s 112-101 loss to an import-less Bolts.

“Adjust kami kasi kakarating pa lang ng import, tapos medyo may jet lag pa,” Romeo said. “Basta mapabilis lang yung pag-adjust namin, (okay kami).”

Batang Pier manager Bonnie Tan said they have yet to commit to Williams.

Asked what has been taking GlobalPort so long to sign an import, Tan said they’re still deciding on their choices.

“Madaming gusto eh.”
