TERRENCE Romeo refused to make a fuss about the hard hit he received from NLEX big man Enrico Villanueva in Globalport’s 81-94 loss in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup on Sunday.

The Batang Pier rising star appeared to get hit intentionally by Villanueva when the former drove to the basket early in the fourth quarter of the Road Warriors' 94-81 win over GlobalPort.

“Tapos na sa akin. Okay lang ‘yun,” Romeo insisted in a quick chat with Spin.ph. “Kasama sa laro ‘yun; may tirahan talaga.”

“So kung ano yung nangyari sa game, sa game lang ‘yun, wala na off the court,” he added.

Villanueva, though, continued to get in the nerve of the Batang Pier as the Ateneo product also got in an altercation with Globalport alternate governor Erick Arejola later in the period.

Romeo, however, admitted the Batang Pier faltered in the face of the Road Warriors’ defense. The former UAAP MVP scored 19 points, but it took him 20 shots to get there.

“Ang ganda ng depensa nila tapos nakukuha nila outside shots nila, so nahirapan kami,” Romeo said, adding he missed the presence of backcourt partner Stanley Pringle, who was out with a sprained ankle.

“Kita naman (na na-miss namin si Stanley). Syempre malaking bagay si Stanley.”
