REGARDLESS OF PBA commissioner Chito Narvasa's final decision on the life ban on Ivan Johnson, the management of Tropang TNT has already made up its mind to send the controversial import home.

A source bared to TNT has no plan to appeal the life ban that Narvasa slapped on Johnson on Saturday and is only hoping to see the P250,000 fine lowered by the league chief.

“Yun lang hihingin, 'yung sa ban. Bahala na si Narvasa run kung ano ang desisyon niya,” said the source, shortly after Johnson met Narvasa at the PBA office to personally apologize for the altercation that led to his ban.

On Tuesday, Narvasa said he is only waiting for an appeal from TNT before handing out a final decision on the Johnson controversy. He is set to hand down a decision on Wednesday.

However, no appeal on the life ban is forthcoming, a source said.

“Hindi namin i-a-appeal 'yung ban. 'Yun ang desisyon nya eh. Bahala siya kung ire-retain o i-li-lift niya 'yun. Hindi na rin namin papalaruin si Ivan whatever his decision is,” he added.

Johnson is already booked to leave the country on Friday, the source added.
