TALK ‘N Text takes over the spot vacated by Lebanon in the MVP Cup that starts on Friday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Former Gilas Pilipinas coach Chot Reyes confirmed the report on his twitter account Monday.

“Thank you Coach Jong & TNT mgt for agreeing to be d 4th team in the MVP Cup after Lebanon's late withdrawal. New sked to be released soon,” wrote Reyes on his account @coachot.

For no clear reason, Lebanon pulled out of the supposed four-nation pocket tournament from Sept. 11-13 at the last minute, forcing organizers to scamper for possible replacement.

Gilas Pilipinas is seeing action in the three-day meet, which the team is using as part of its build up for the Fiba Asia Men’s Championships set in Changsha, China next month.

The Chinese Taipei and New Zealand national teams are the other two seeing action in the tournament.

The Tropang Texters though will have to play without stalwarts Ranidel de Ocampo, Jayson Castro and Matt Rosser, along with rookies Moa Tautuaa and Troy Rosario, all of whom are with the Gilas training pool.
