STAR is facing a dilemma in its PBA Commissioner's Cup campaign as import Denzel Bowles is planning to leave the team following a death in the family.

Hotshots coach Jason Webb and governor Rene Pardo confirmed the development on Thursday, but were quick to add there’s nothing final yet.

“We’re very concerned with his predicament,” Webb said. “We’re looking for the best remedy for him and the team.”

Bowles' predicament was first reported by Richard Dy of Fox Sports.

Pardo said the Hotshots are still in talks with Bowles, who had 15 points, eight boards, five assists, and four blocks in the team's 92-87 loss to Ginebra last Sunday.

The Hotshots, who are dead last in the standings with a 1-4 win-loss record, return to action on Sunday against Tropang TNT.
