STAR continued to unclog the glut in its point guard rotation as it put RR Garcia on the trading block.

The Hotshots coaching staff and management, though, declined to confirm the trade, although Garcia hasn’t practiced with team the past few days.

Team manager Alvin Patrimonio also hinted Garcia's departure will come by way of a multi-team trade and he expects it to be finalized by the end of the week.

“Hindi ko rin kabisado yung structure (nung trade), ang dami eh, daming teams involved,” Patrimonio told SPIN.ph after Star's practice on Thursday.

“We’re still waiting for the PBA’s instructions,” the PBA legend added.

Sources revealed Garcia has already started practicing with San Miguel on Wednesday, with another source saying the deal could likely be tied to the Ryan Arana-Keith Agovida swap pulled off by Mahindra and the Beermen.

Another source said the deal is already up for approval by the PBA Commissioner's Office.

Once done, the multi-team deal will likely be approved in Korea, where Commissioner Chito Narvasa and the entire board are holding a four-day planning session for the coming season.

Garcia, whose stay with Star lasted just one conference, is the second playmaker to be traded after Alex Mallari, leaving Paul Lee, Mark Barroca, and Justin Melton in a solid point guard rotation.
