STANLEY Pringle has been named the Accel-PBA Press Corps Player of the Week after a virtuoso performance in GlobalPort's 113-111 win over previously unbeaten Rain or Shine on Friday.

The honor was the second this season for the second-year guard, who beat out San Miguel big man June Mar Fajardo and Talk 'N Text hero Jayson Castro for the weekly citation.

Pringle got the nod after logging 27 points, eight rebounds and six assists against Rain or Shine, punctuating his performance with the game-winning layup over three defenders.

The 6-10 Fajardo was nominated after scoring 22 points and grabbing 14 rebounds in the Beermen's lopsided win over Barangay Ginebra last Sunday.

On the other hand, Castro scored 33 points in Talk 'N Text's 91-86 win over Star on Saturday in Lucena City.
