AZ Reid went straight to the hospital Friday night for a routine check-up after hitting his head hard on the floor in San Miguel's PBA Governors Cup game against NLEX at the Araneta Coliseum.

The prolific import said he's still feeling dizzy after he fell awkwardly while going for a lay-up in the third period, in the process banging his head on the Big Dome floor.

He admitted not being the same again after the incident, but wad happy the Beermen eked out a thrilling 94-93 win on a clutch three-pointer by Marcio Lassiter with five-tenths of a second left.

"I think it's a contusion but I'm not sure. I feel dizzy. I kind of blank it out," said Reid, who still finished with a team-high 23 points, but only four in the second half.

"I hope it's not too severe."

Playing hurt, the two-time Best Import tried his best to stay in the game, and helped make possible Lassiter's game-winning three-pointer.

"I'm happy Marcio made the shot. It's team game," he said. "I knew I couldn't make the shot so I have to pass the ball. Marcio came up and I was happy he made the shot."
