TNT Katropa fans can heave a sigh of relief.

Doctors have ruled out any major injury for Anthony Semerad, who hurt his knee in a scary collision with Rain or Shine's Chris Tiu during the two teams' PBA season debut on Friday night.

From the Cuneta Astrodome, the former San Beda standout was immediately taken to the Makati Medical Center where an MRI found no more than a contussion on the knee.

According to TNT team manager Virgil Villavicencio, Semerad was advised to use crutches and not put too much pressure on the knee in the coming days.

He is set for another exam on Tuesday where Semerad is expected to get the green light for the Katropa's game against Blackwater on December 29.

Semerad had already scored 13 points on 3-of-7 shooting from three-point land before suffering the injury with less than five minutes left in the game. Rain or Shine won, 82-79.
