SCOTTIE Thompson was back in fan mode in Game Four, gladly taking the backseat as his boyhood idols,  Mark Caguioa and Jayjay Helterbrand, turned back the clock and sparked a vintage fourth-quarter Ginebra comeback against Meralco.

In a 'Flashback Friday' moment for one of the most popular backcourt pairs in league history, Helterbrand and Caguioa came off the bench and brought Ginebra back to life after the team not only lost an 11-point lead but also found itself trailing by 16 with one quarter to go.

All the while, Thompson was feeling thankful to be part of a glorious moment for the 'Fast and Furious' pair that he used to only watch on television growing up.

"Nakikita ko 'yung mga idol ko na pinapanood ko lang dati na naglaro kanina," said the Ginebra rookie sensation, admitting he had goosebumps watching the riveting moment unfold in the fourth quarter of Game Four. "Honored ako kasi kasabay ko sila maglaro sa game.

"Yung pagpasok nila kinalabutan ako kasi gusto talaga nila tong championship," he added.

Helterbrand scored all his 11 points in the fourth quarter while going a perfect 3-of-3 from three-point land while Caguiaoa had eight points including timely baskets that enabled the Kings to pull off an 88-86 victory and knot the Governors Cup Finals at 2-all.

Thompson had a relatively quiet four points in the win but didn't mind, saying the whole teams wants to go all the way, just to give Helterbrand and Caguioa another championship.

That's the mindset which he vowed to carry over into Game Five on Sunday.

"Inspired kami maglaro sa Game Five dahil kay Kuya Jay at Kuya Mark," the former Perpetual star said. "Talagang gusto nila to, gusto din namin ibigay to sa kanila. Gusto namin tulungan sila para makuha to."
