The PBA Commissioner's Office has handed out fines totalling P64,000 in the aftermath of the tumultuous Game Two of the Philippine Cup Finals between Alaska and San Miguel Beer.

Alaska assistant coach Louie Alas and banger Calvin Abueva as well as San Miguel enforcer Ronald Tubid bore the brunt of the penalties handed out by Commissioner Chito Salud after summoning a total of eight personnel from both sides which figured in the skirmishes.

Alas was handed the biggest fine of P20,000 for 'physically contacting a game official' during the match which the Beermen won, 100-86, on Friday night while Abueva was meted fines totalling 15,600, including P10,000 for an elbow that caused a cut on Arwind Santos' forehead which the referees failed to call but was later upgraded to a flagrant foul 1.

'The Beast' was also penalized P3,000 for flopping, P1,600 for a second motion technical on Chris Ross and P1,000 for engaging in thrash-talking with Santos.

On the other hand, Tubid was handed a P10,000 fine for a flagrant foul on Abueva and P3,000 for flopping representing the biggest fine handed down on a member of the San Miguel side.

Santos escaped with no more than a P1,000 for thrash-talking with Abueva.

Aside from that, SMB rookie David Semerad and Alaska veteran Dondon Hontiveros were each slapped P5,000 fines for a double foul that was upgraded to flagrant fouls by the league's technical staff upon a review of the game tape while Vic Manuel of Alaska was fined P5,000 for a flagrant foul on Semerad.

The amount is expected to rise once Salud decides on the penalties to be slapped on utility personnel from both sides who the league said 'were seen physically contacting players from the opposite side.'

Until the penalties are determined, the personnel were barred from working in Game Three on Sunday.
