RAIN or Shine is hoping that third time’s the charm as it is set to bring back Wayne Chism as import for the PBA Commissioner’s Cup.

Elasto Painters coach Yeng Guiao said they have secured a verbal agreement with the American slotman, who had planned to try his luck in Europe.

“We just talked to him and he’s very excited to come here,” Guiao said after the Painters’ 110-104 win over Barako Bull on Friday night. “Sabi niya he will forego his European opportunity and come in early with us.”

“Ang problema pag naglaro siya sa Europe, baka ma-commit siya,” he added of the former Best Import. “If the team makes the semis or finals, baka ma-late siya makabalik.”

The Painters hope the 6-foot-9 Chism, who has been attending the Philippine Cup games of the team as of late, would lead them to the championship this time after failing in his first two tries.
