Erram left searching for answers as 14 point, 21-rebound game goes for naught

POY Erram insisted Blackwater has no more hangover from its upset victory over Barangay Ginebra over two weeks ago as the Elite continued its freefall in the PBA Philippine Cup since then.

Since scoring a stunning 94-77 win over back-to-back Governors Cup champion Ginebra last January 12 that seemingly solidified their status as a contender, the Elite went back to mediocrity after losing their next three games, the latest an 88-84 loss to Alaska on Saturday.

But Erram stressed their win over Ginebra has nothing to do with their three-game losing streak.

Erram, at least, has been thriving in coach Leo Isaac’s system, putting up another solid showing on Saturday with 14 points, 21 boards, five blocks, two assists, and two steals, against three turnovers in over 36 minutes of play.

Still, the former Ateneo stalwart failed to lead his team to victory.

“Sa individual stats, happy ako sa ginawa ko pero yun nga, all in all, talo kami, para saan pa yung stats kung talo kayo, ‘di ba?” Erram said.

Erram also contributed in missing crucial charities that could’ve pulled the Elite closer down the stretch.
