Poy Erram feels confidence got the better of Blackwater against TnT after huge Ginebra win
Poy Erram was one of the few bright spots in Blackwater's loss to TnT. Marlo Cueto

NOT even his solid individual performance could stop Poy Erram from lamenting Blackwater's lack of effort as a unit that factored heavily in the Elite’s dropping a 92-83 decision at the hands of TNT KaTropa in the PBA Philippine Cup on Wednesday night.

The Elite star slotman was one of the few bright spots for his team, pumping in 20 points on 9-of-18 shooting, eight boards, four steals, two blocks, one assist, and only one turnover in 36 minutes.

But the Elite failed to sustain their gains after a stunning 94-77 win over championship contender Barangay Ginebra last Friday as they grew overconfident and fell to the Texters.

“Siguro, kulang pa talaga yung preparation namin,” Erram said.

“So next time, kailangan stick na lang kami sa system,” he added.

Erram said Blackwater coach Leo Isaac urged them to immediately move on, especially ahead of a game only two days later against GlobalPort.

So may chance pa kaming umakyat ulit.”

As for himself, Erram is eager to sustain his own gains and continue to anchor his squad down low.
