PNP chief Ronald 'Bato' dela Rosa nearly lost his wallet amid the frenzy over Ginebra's come-from-behind win over Meralco, 86-76, in Game Two of the PBA Governor's Cup Finals series on Sunday.

The police chief and diehard Ginebra fan was overheard complaining that his wallet went missing, moments after the Kings completed the wild victory before over 16,000 fans at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

"Akala ko nawala na ang wallet ko," dela Rosa, who was seen jumping from his seat a couple of times at the height of Ginebra's late-game fightback, was heard telling aides as well as PBA officials.

To his relief, dela Rosa's aides later found the wallet under the same ringside seat where he watched the thrilling match.

"Pero nahulog lang naman pala, andon pala sa ilalim ng upuan ko," he disclosed.

Despite the scare, the night ended well for the PNP chief as the certified Ginebra diehard left the venue with a wide grin, especially after getting to pose for souvenir photos with Ginebra greats Robert Jaworski and Francis Arnaiz.
