JUNE Mar Fajardo believes playing injured for San Miguel Beer was worth the risk in Game Five of the PBA Philippine Cup Finals against Alaska on Wednesday night.

The SMB superstar, nursing a knee injury, made a surprising appearance and provided the Beermen a big lift on their way to an 86-73 overtime win.

“Sympre, finals na eh, opportunity yun eh,” Fajardo said.

The reigning MVP admitted there was tightness on his knee after the game.

“Nagta-tight, so kailangan lang i-ice at stretch,” he said.

Fajardo finished with 13 points, making all but one of his five shots, and four boards in 16 minutes.

Now that’s his feet in the finals are wet, there’s no stopping him from playing in Game Six on Friday.

“Oo, try ko (ulit),” Fajardo said. “May pahinga naman kami bukas.”
