NEW conference, new shoe endorsement for Terrence Romeo?

The GlobalPort superstar, a PEAK endorser, turned heads as he took to the court surprisingly wearing a red pair of Nike Kobe 9 Elite Low in the team’s Governors’ Cup debut on Friday night against Rain or Shine.

Whether that violates rules of his contract with the China-based brand remains to be seen, but at least Romeo, the first PBA player to endorse PEAK, covered the swoosh logo with a masking tape.

The Gilas guard also had PEAK socks on, with the logo in full display.

Romeo has yet to air his side on the matter as he didn't grant interviews after GlobalPort's 96-98 loss to ROS. He finished with 28 points.
