TWO playoff contenders and two postseason aspirants usher in the PBA Governors’ Cup as the league released its partial schedule on Monday, just four days before the start of the season-ending conference.

Meralco and Star take on Phoenix and Mahindra, respectively, on Friday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

The Bolts, bannered by Allen Durham, face the Marcus Simmons-led Fuel Masters at 4:15 p.m., before the Enforcers, led by James White, take on Marqus Blakely and the Hotshots at 7 o’clock.

Crowd favorite Barangay Ginebra opens its campaign the next day versus GlobalPort at 6:45 p.m. at the Mall of Asia Arena, while San Miguel Beer begins its title defense on Sunday against the Fuel Masters at 4 p.m. also at the Big Dome.

Ginebra treats its fans in Lucena City as it plays a road game against Meralco in the Quezon province capital on July 30 at 5:30 p.m.

The full schedule, including the ever-anticipated rivalry match between the Gin Kings and Hotshots, will be announced on a later date.
