JUST like everybody else, Paul Lee was stunned the moment he learned he’ll no longer be with Rain or Shine when the next season of the PBA comes underway on November 20.

The combo guard admitted feeling surreal when informed he’s been traded by the Elasto Painters to the Star Hotshots for James Yap in a blockbuster trade consummated on Thursday.

“Iba yung feeling,” he related to SPIN.ph just hours after the trade. “Hindi ko ma-describe yung pakiramdam ko, kasi first time kong ma-trade.

“Tapos si James Yap pa ang ka-trade ko,” added Lee. “Siyempre, Yap is James Yap.”

The five-year pro out of University of the East was informed of the trade as he was working out or about a few hours after Rain or Shine came out with a press statement that it offered Lee a three-year contract worth the max deal.

Lee, who is going to tie the knot on Oct. 25 with long-time beau Rubi Chua, said he couldn’t do any negotiating since his manager Lawrence Chongson is still in the US, and won’t be arriving in the country until the 20th.

‘Kaya hindi rin ako makagawa ng galaw kasi wala pa nga rito yung manager ko,” he added.

The PBA had already approved the trade between the two former UE King Warriors.
