NORBERT Torres is just a week removed from a traumatic brawl which left him with a wound that required 11 stitches to close, but that hasn't stopped him from supporting his squad.

Torres was back on the bench to witness Rain or Shine’s 104-94 come-from-behind victory over Blackwater in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup on Friday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Wearing an arm cast on his left forearm, Torres said that he’s still in the processes of recovering and still awaiting clearance from his doctor, which he expects to come in around two more weeks.

“Still recovering, of course, it’s only been six days. I’m still just awaiting the doctor’s clearance that I can start playing and practicing with the team. Just happy that we got the win today,” said Torres.

“The stitches, another five days I think, according to the doctors. So we’re still waiting on that."

Torres said that he has been attending practices the moment he got out of the hospital. He has been in constant communication with their lawyers alongside Jeron Teng and Thomas Torres about their next legal step.

“I’m still going to practices to show my support still. I was talking to Jeron, Thomas and meeting up with the lawyers as well,” Torres said.
