NLEX frontcourt takes a big hit as Asi Taulava doubtful due to persistent migraines
Asi Taulava was confined in hospital for four days owing to migraines.

NLEX is set to field a shallow frontcourt in its PBA Philippine Cup match against Blackwater on Wednesday at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.

Already without Rico Villanueva, who’s out with a knee injury, the Road Warriors could also miss Asi Taulava owing to persistent migraines.

“He’s doubtful to play,” team manager Ronald Dulatre said in a text message ahead of the 4:15 p.m. matchup.

The 43-year-old has been having headaches since last week, forcing him to be confined at Cardinal Santos Medical Center last Friday night and was only discharged at noon on Tuesday.

The setback leaves Bradwyn Guinto, Eric Camson, and Raul Soyud anchoring the paint against an Elite counterpart led by Mac Belo, Arthur dela Cruz, and Kyle Pascual.
