Ginebra's Game Three loss spurs die-hard fan to sing the blues on Facebook
Marge Cadiz sang the blues after Ginebra's loss in Game Three.

BARANGAY Ginebra’s loss in Game Three of the PBA Governors’ Cup finals inspired Marge Cadiz, aka Maria Gracia Gonzales, to post another updated version of ‘Pag Natatalo ang Ginebra,’ the other famous Gin Kings’ ode composed by Gary Granada on Thursday.

Her latest cover discussed the Gin Kings’ defeat against the Bolts and her fervent belief that the team will still be able to turn around the series despite facing a 2-1 deficit in the title series.

“Okay lang kung olat nung Wednesday, gawin nating 2-2 sa next game,” she sang at one point.

“Mag-tsa-champion din tayo. Tiwala lang, atin ito. Isa-isip nyo’t isa-puso,” she added. “Game Three lang naman ito. May chance sa Biyernes at Linggo. At next week, alam kong panalo tayo.”

Gonzales, whose actual name is Marge Cadiz, also wished for Jayjay Helterbrand to play in Game Four on Friday, which also happens to be the Ginebra guard’s birthday.

“Sana lang maglaro si Jayjay, kahit na birthday niya sa Friday.”

On Monday, Cadiz first caught the attention of basketball fans online with her first cover of a Granada song ‘Sana Manalo ang Ginebra,’ and her Facebook video post quickly turned viral.
