TNT KaTropa coach Nash Racela said he hopes Donte Greene can play more consistently following an up-and-down outing in a 107-89 loss to Ginebra in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup on Sunday night.

After exploding for 17 points in the first period, the Greene’s production dwindled, scoring just 11 points the rest of the way.

In contrast, Ginebra import Justin Brownlee never scored less than seven points in each of the four quarters on the way to finishing with a game-high 34 points against the Texters.

“Kung makikita mo si Brownlee, consistent,” Racela said. “Donte has to play the same.”

Racela is not even stopping Greene from taking as many three-pointers as he wants. The TNT import took 10 attempts from beyond the arc – knocking down four against the Gin Kings.

“Yung yung isa sa strength niya (outside shooting), so hindi mo naman tanggalin yun. He just has to be steady,” Racela said.

Greene, though, also found little local support, with Jayson Castro the only other player to score in double digits as the Texters saw their five-game winning streak snapped.

“Everything comes to an end. Okay lang,” Racela said. “'Di lang maganda how we lost today. We gave up especially in the fourth quarter. We, as a team, kind of played with the crowd. You can't do that against Ginebra.

“Something also Donte will learn [since] this is the first time he played infront of a big crowd,” he added.
