NASH Racela, the TnT Katropa coach, leads the casualties after the first volley of fines in the season-ending PBA Governors Cup.

For addressing Commissioner Chito Narvasa directly during the Katropa’s debut game against KIA Picanto Friday last week at the Ynares Center in Antipolo City, Racela was slapped with a P10,000 fine. TnT won the game, 106-96.

Big men Kyle Pascual of Blackwater and KIA’s Eric Camson, meanwhile, both committed Flagrant Foul Penalty 1 and were tagged with a P5,000 fine each.

The list of fines was the first to be meted by the Commissioner’s Office two weeks into the final conference of the season.

Sean Anthony was found guilty of flopping in GlobalPort’s game opposite Ginebra and was penalized for P3,000, while Fil-Canadian rookie Matthew Wright of Phoenix was the fined P1,000 for using profanities.

Also meted P1,000 fines each were Vic Manuel of Alaska (technical foul for second motion) and Star’s Rodney Brondial (for technical foul for second motion).

A total of P26,000 in fines were collected, all of which go directly to the PBA Players’ Trust Fund.
