NANAY Sionny Abueva says she already received a Mother’s Day gift from her favorite grandson, Calvin.

But she wants more.

On Wednesday, an hour before Game Three of the PBA Commissioner’s Cup Finals between Rain or Shine and Alaska, the 70-year old lola let out a genuine smile as she shared to her post-Mother’s Day wish.

Nanay Sionny, who helped raise Abueva and is a fixture at ringsider whenever the Alaska star plays, proudly showed her new pair of white sandals, given as a Mother's Day gift by Calvin.

“Ok naman, ito nga oh, binigyan niya ako ng sandals,” said the doting grandmother. “Tapos ‘yung mama niya binigyan niya ng high heels (sandals).”

But the unassuming Nanay Sionny bared her special request from Calvin.

“Pero may gusto pa ako,” she said. “Gusto ko mag-champion siya, mag-champion ang Alaska, at siya na ang manalo ng BPC (Best Player of the Conference).”

“Kasi deserving naman siya sa BPC. Sana talaga ibigay ng Panginoon sa kanya,” she added.

The Aces are currently down 0-3 of the best-of-seven title series but Abueva is the frontrunner for the Best Player of the Conference.

Awarding rites will be held prior to Game 4 o Friday, also at the Big Dome.
