IT seems a game in this PBA Philippine Cup Finals between San Miguel Beer and Alaska will not be complete without a commotion involving Arwind Santos and Calvin Abueva.

The two Kapampangan stars went at it again in Game Four on Wednesday, with the Aces’ Abueva ending up getting hit in the nose after Santos raised his left arm following a play early in the fourth quarter.

Santos incurred a technical foul, which Dondon Hontiveros translated into a made technical free throw that trimmed the deficit to 73-54.

But Santos insisted Abueva sparked the scuffle.

Santos and the Beermen had the last laugh as they coasted to an 88-70 victory that knotted the best-of-seven series at two games each.

More importantly for the SMB star, the victory reminded what everyone had always known since the series started: that the Beermen are the heavy favorites.

“No doubt eh, kasi hindi naman kami tanga or bulag. Lagi naman nakikita, ginagawa, at nararanasan na kayang-kaya namin eh,” Santos said as the Beermen managed to protect a huge lead this time.
