THE next batch of aspirants seeking to make it to the PBA has been set as more than 60 applicants have declared for the Rookie Draft set August 23 at Robinsons Place Manila.

Sixty-four rookie hopefuls, including 16 Filipino-foreigners, have submitted their respective applications ahead of the deadline on a mundane Friday afternoon at the league’s office in Libis, Quezon City.

Since made an update last week, twenty-four names have been added to the list that features consensus lottery picks Troy Rosario and Moala Tautuaa.

San Beda star Art dela Cruz and Letran’s Kevin Racal and Mark Cruz were among the most notable additions to the latest list.

Racal and former San Beda wingman Jaypee Mendoza were the last to submit their respective applications, through agent Danny Espiritu.

The PBA, however, declined to release the “preliminary” 64-man list until Monday.

Only after the players show their wares in the scheduled rookie camp on August 19 and 20 at the Hoops Center in Mandaluyong will the league reveal the final list, two days before the draft.
