PBA teams with high draft picks must be holding their breath right now.

Moala Tautuaa, the Cebuana Lhuillier big man projected to be the No. 1 pick overall in the coming PBA rookie draft, suffered a left ankle injury in the Gems' 71-82 loss to Hapee in the opener of their D-League Aspirants Cup semifinal series at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.

The 6-7 Fil-Tongan twisted his left ankle with 8:22 left in the third quarter while trying to stop Hapee big man Ola Odeogun, who went on to complete a three-point play for a 54-40 Hapee lead.

Tautuaa grimaced in pain on the floor clutching his left knee and was immediately attended to at the sidelines by team medical staff. He was later brought out in a stretcher and taken to a hospital for examination.

There was no word on the result of the examination at posting time.
