MO Tautuaa bore the brunt of the sanctions meted out by the PBA Commissioner's Office on Thursday after being hit with a total of P35,000 in fines plus a one-game suspension.

Commissioner Willie Marcial made the announcement after he summoned Tautuaa and four other personalities to the league office in Libis, Quezon City.

The GlobalPort new boy got into trouble for a kick to the face of TNT import Jeremy Tyler as well as for 'obscene language' he used in an ill-tempered game against his former team that the Batang Pier lost, 114-128.

The former top pick overall was assessed a flagrant foul 2 for the hit on Tyler. He was also previously assessed a flagrant foul 1 and, worse, was caught by the cameras mouthing 'bull____' after the incident with the TNT import.

The suspension meant the 6-foot-8 Tautuaa won’t be around when Globalport takes on Meralco on Friday in their Commissioner’s Cup doubleheader at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Marcial, meanwhile, deferred action on TNT guard Terrence Romeo, who launched a tirade against the referees after being called for two dribbling violations late in the match against his former team.

Romeo, who was traded to TNT during the break at the end of the Philippine Cup, wondered out loud if the referees 'were from another planet' in a talk with reporters after the game.

Marcial said he failed to appear before him on Thursday because of a 'personal matter.'

Others sanctioned were Globalport import Malcolm White and rookie Joseph Gabayni, along with Blackwater's Allein Maliksi and Don Trollano of TnT.

White, Maliksi, Gabayni, and Trollano were fined P5K each for committing flagrant foul 1 violations during their respective games in the opener of the tournament.

Maliksi got entangle with Columbian Dyip's Eric Camson, White was penalized for hitting TnT rookie Jessie Saitanan, Gabayni whacked a driving Roger Pogoy of TnT hard on the head, while Trollano was also caught hitting Gabayni while fighting for position in a rebound play.
