MARC Pingris once again proved that he is one of the PBA’s toughest players after shrugging off a bloody cut in Magnolia’s PBA Philippine Cup match-up against Kia on Wednesday night.

The Hotshots star took a nasty hit near the nose in a collision with Picanto forward Jackson Corpuz in the second quarter, turning Pingris’ face into a bloody mess.

To Pingris' disappointment, no call was made by the referees during the play.

Pingris retreated to the dugout to have the cut cleaned up, but managed to return to the game in in the third quarter.

Magnolia went on to win, 124-77.

“Part naman ng game yun eh, ‘di naman natin maiiwasan yung ganyan,” Pingris, who finished with six points, four rebounds, and two assists, against only one turnover in 21 minutes as a starter, said.

“Pero pasalamat naman ako kay Lord na butas lang naman. Okay lang, basta ako, part lang ng game yun di naman sinasadya eh.”

“I'm so thankful naman kay Lord na ganito lang, hindi natanggal yung ngipin ganun. Medyo pogi pa rin konti,” he added with a smile.

That truly is one tough guy.
