JUNE MAR Fajardo doesn’t want to be the villain, but PBA's reigning MVP will be looking to hand Manny Pacquiao a second straight defeat in a matter of days.

Still smarting from a unanimous 12-round decision loss to undefeated world champion Floyd Mayweather, Jr., Pacquiao and his PBA team, KIA Carnival, will be facing Fajardo and San Miguel Beer in their debut game on Wednesday in the Governors Cup.

Whether the 36-year-old future boxing Hall of Famer shows up to coach and play for the Carnival, remains a question.

But Fajardo, who joined the 500-strong Pacquiao supporters in Spin.ph’s viewing party at TGI Friday's in Glorietta 3, said he’ll be the first to congratulate his boxing idol should Pacquiao play for KIA at the Mall of Asia Arena.

“Siyempre, sasabihin ko sa kanya (Pacquiao) congrats. Proud ako sa kanya,” Fajardo said.

But the 25-year-old reigning PBA MVP was also quick to point out that when the basketball game begins, he won’t give Pacquiao and his KIA team an inch.

“Wala. Siyempre gusto naming manalo,” said the 6-foot-10 giant from Pinamungahan, Cebu with a smile.

San Miguel dropped a shocking 78-68 loss to KIA on February 4 in their only Commissioner’s Cup meeting, just less than two weeks after the Beermen captured the Philippine Cup title.

Fajardo said the hard-hitting Pacquiao had nothing to be ashamed of, considering that he gave his all against “Money.”

“Hindi naman ganun kadali yung ginawa ni Manny eh. Maganda naman ang laban. Nanonood na nga lang tayo, kinabahan tayo, what more pa kaya si Manny,” he added.
