THE name of former University of Santo Tomas standout Louie Vigil was inexplicably missed out in the final list of applicants for the coming PBA Rookie Draft.

His handlers hope Vigil won't be overlooked come the Oct. 29 draft at the Robinson’s Place Manila.

Marvin Espiritu said the former team captain of UST has a lot to offer for any team interested in getting his services for the coming 43rd season of the pro league.

“Louie has PBA basketball IQ. He can score and can play under any system,” said Espiritu.

“Defensively he can guard the 1-2-3 positions,” the son of veteran agent Danny Espiritu added. “And most importantly, very coachable.”

Vigil, who plays for Tanduay in the PBA D-League, was the 44th and last player to apply for the draft deadline last week.

Unfortunately, his name wasn't included in the official list initially released by the league, but has since been included in the subsequent lineup that will be scrutinized by the Commissioner's Office before draft day.

“His name wasn't mentioned as part of the list since last siyang nag-apply sa draft,” said Espiritu.

Vigil played his last season with UST a year ago and averaged 15.0 points. He was part of the Tigers team that finished runner-up to Far Easter University during UAAP Season 78.
