ON the day he turned pro, Kiefer Ravena had one final nod to his alma mater.

The former King Eagle showed up for the PBA Rookie Draft on Sunday dapper in a blue coat - perfect for one of the most unforgettable moments of a basketball career that keeps getting better.

It turned out Ravena had something up his sleeve.

Minutes before the drafting was to start at the Robinsons Place Manila, the 5-10 guard revealed his No. 15 Ateneo Blue Eagles uniform had been embroidered in his coat.

Ravena, who is set to be tabbed second overall in the draft by NLEX, said the idea was solely his own.

"Matic yan," the two-time UAAP MVP told SPIN.ph moments before the drafting. "In honor of Ateneo."

"(The school) really did wonders for my life and career," Ravena, who won two UAAP senior championships with the Blue Eagles, added.
