TWENTY-FOUR locals have so far submitted their applications for the PBA Rookie Draft on August 23 at Robinson’s Place Ermita.

Consensus lottery pick Troy Rosario leads the list along with fellow Gilas cadets Scottie Thompson and Almond Vosotros, as well as another top amateur in Garvo Lanete.

Glenn Khobuntin, another member of the Southeast Asian Games gold medal-winning team, is also on the list along with Josan Nimes, Samboy de Leon, Don Trollano, Jonathan Grey, Bradwyn Guinto, Michael Mabulac, Aljon Mariano, Keith Agovida, and Denice Villamor.

De Leon was a major piece in Café France’s championship run in the recent D-League Foundation Cup and Trollano was a vital cog for Cagayan Valley in the developmental league.

Nimes (Mapua), Grey (St. Benilde), and Guinto (San Sebastian) are the current go-to guys of their respective NCAA teams.

Mon Abundo (CEU), Eric Acuña (St. Clare), Alex Almario (JRU), Yutien Andrada (DLSU), Nico Elorde (Ateneo), Bong Galanza (UE), Michael Miranda (SSC), Mark Montuano (Informatics), Robin Roño (NU), and Joseph Sedurifa (University of Southern Philippines) complete the 24-man list obtained by on Tuesday.

They join 16 Filipino-foreigners who submitted their respective applications earlier, before their deadline last June 30.

Ray Parks is considered a local applicant, being born in the Philippines, giving the undrafted NBA aspirant a chance to still declare the local draft on or before the locals’ deadline on August 7 if he decides to.
