ARWIND Santos obviously delights in giving Calvin Abueva a dose of his own medicine.

The San Miguel Beer superstar matched his Alaska counterpart’s intensity in leading the Beermen to a 100-86 Game Two victory over Alaska that leveled the PBA Philippine Cup Finals series at a game apiece on Friday night.

“Kung makulit siya, kailangan mas makulit ako,” Santos said.

Santos never backed down after Abueva engaged him in numerous physical plays including one rebound situation that led to a bloody forehead by the SMB forward halfway through the third quarter.

Instead of getting frustrated, Santos shrugged it off and picked up from where he left off. After getting patched up on the bench, the former league MVP buried a three-pointer in his first possession after returning.

Santos simply refused to take the hit personal.

“Part ng laro yan,” he said.

In all, he tallied a game-high 22 points, four boards, two assists, and two steals in 34 minutes.

Santos said the physicality could favor either team.
