KAYA FC does its part in promoting football in the country as it holds the Yellow Cab Football Cup on October 15 and 22.

The former United Football League Cup champion partnered with Max’s Group Inc. (MGI), the parent company of Yellow Cab, in organizing the youth tournament for boys’ Under-7, U-9, U-11, U-13, and U-15, and girls’ U-17.

“This is a perfect avenue for us to continue our mission of spreading the word of football, making it accessible to children of all walks of life and bring them together to compete in  a fair and fun competition,” Kaya general manager Paul Tolentino said on Thursday in the press conference at The Brewery in BGC.

Kaya coach Chris Greatwich and stars Aly Borromeo, Kenshiro Daniels, and Masa Omura were among those who promoted the tournament that’s held on the same year as the team’s 20th anniversary.

The proceeds of the tournament will go to the charity of choice of the respective champion teams of each division.

“We’re excited to see this tournament embrace in the values that Kaya and the Max’s Group hold so dear,” said MGI chief marketing officer and board of director Jim Fuentebella, whose son Diego plays for Kaya U-13.
