IT’S going to be a different Christmas Eve and Christmas Day celebration for Alaska players JV Casio and Calvin Abueva.

The two said they will have to put a balance in celebrating the Holiday season and maintaining focus in their PBA Philippine Cup semifinals series with Rain or Shine as they play their first ever game on Christmas Day when Game Four is played at the Mall of Asia Arena.

After the Aces run through their plays and prepared for their game plan against the Elasto Painters on Wednesday, Casio hurriedly left the team practice as he disclosed to he’s got a family gathering to attend to as they celebrate the birthday of his mother on Christmas Eve.

“Birthday ng mom ko so it’s a family day and everybody will be there. Pero kailangan (sleep early) dahil may important game sa  (Dec) 25,” the soft-spoken Alaska guard said.

Abueva, on the other hand, is excited to play in his first-ever Christmas day game as a pro.

“First time ko ito (to play in Christmas Day). Masaya at masarap, though mas masaya sana kung di  natapat yung game sa Christmas para enjoy yung Christmas. Kaso natapat kaya mapapaaga ang tulog,” added the energetic Alaska forward.

The Aces are actually shooting for a commanding 3-1 series lead against the Elasto Painters after clobbering them on Monday, 94-78, during Game Three.
